Abstract
This study aims to examine the role of digital platforms in enhancing the accessibility of geotourism
information in the Maros Pangkep Geopark, one of Indonesia’s UNESCO Global Geoparks. With the
advancement of digital technology, the use of websites and social media has become a key strategy
for delivering educational content and promoting tourism. This research employs a quantitative
method, using questionnaires distributed to the public and tourists to assess the effectiveness of
digital platforms in expanding access to geotourism information. The collected data is analyzed to
evaluate how digital platforms, including official websites and social media, contribute to public
understanding of geological features and tourist attractions in the Maros Pangkep Geopark, as well
as their impact on the management and conservation of the area. The findings of this study are
expected to provide valuable insights into the crucial role of digital technology in supporting
sustainable tourism promotion and education strategies within geoparks.
